Gaining weight on a diet?!

Question: Gaining weight on a diet?
Two slices of wheat toast for breakfast, fruit for lunch, more toast in the afternoon when i get home from school, sometimes with some yogurt or a banana, then dinners kept around 600-700 calories and I try to get all the food groups in there, Monday thru Saturday. Sundays are cheat days, but it's not like I go out and eat a mountain of lard. Then I get a bit of light exercising in Monday thru Friday. I've been sticking to this diet for 10 days and I just weighed in and gained a pound? Any explanations?

Answers:

You can't really say wither you gained weight. Every time you take a dump you lose about a pound of 2. And every time you eat/drink water you gain weight right away. So you might have weighted your self at 2 wrong times. You can only tell whether you gained/lost weight after around 4-5 pound difference. But form what your doing should help, and go harder with the exercises, that will really help you lose weight.

You are eating too much for dinner. Dinner should be your lightest meal of the day, and it should consist of a protein and a vegetable with no carbs. Breakfast should be your heaviest meal of the day and should be the amount of calories you are having for dinner. It should consist of carbs, protein, and fat.

Because you are starving yourself your body thinks food is few and far between so its storing up.
