how can i lose weight?!

Question: How can i lose weight?
i need to get thinner because yesterday even my brother suggested i should do atkins. i do about 4-6 hours exercise a week and i dont have time for any more. dieting is also hard because my mum wont let me (im 15). even she said im getting a bit overweight. help!

Answers:

A lot of thin people actually eat a lot, but what they dont do is eat 3 meals a day they actually graze more so they might have a bowl of porridge in the morning but 2 hrs later they have a sandwich then 2 hrs later they have a yoghurt and a banana then 2 hrs later a salad etc.. What they are doing is speeding up their metabolism and making sure their body is well fed and not starved.
Of course dont eat junk, greasy food and drink lots of bottled water. Good luck

I recommend to lose weight, cut out all sugars & starches. No sodas, juices, cookies, candy, cakes, etc. As healthy as fruit may be, it's natural sugars do not only not promote fat loss, they actually promote fat storage (fructose is the most lipogenic carb).

Make sure half your meals are green non starchy vegs & eat lots of protein & good fats, limit your complex carb portions to no more than your protein portion.

Studies have shown that some people can gain fat stores even on a semi starvation diet of 1000 calories a day - if it's composition is high carb, low fat. So obviously, calories aren't the key to fat loss.

I am adamantly opposed to low calorie dieting because most people lose a good portion of lean tissue (including vital organs like the heart) along with fat stores. There is no nutrition in fat stores, only energy.

Most people get impatient and lower their calories and increase their exercise to a point where they lose so much lean tissue that when they return to what was maintenance level eating they are now accumulating more fat stores because their caloric needs have dropped due to the loss of this tissue as well as their metabolism slowing down to work more efficiently on fewer calories & it becomes a vicious cycle of dieting and more loss (including vital organs like the heart). This stress to the vital organs cannot be healthy.

Be careful before you take on atkins, you should have a full workup by a doctor with blood tests.

The Atkins diet allows for an unrestricted use of proteins, including meat, eggs and cheese and limits foods that contain carbohydrates such as pasta, bread and fruit and vegetables .

The cons to the Atkins diet is that is the individual eats unlimited amounts of saturated fat, which is found in most meat products, this can lead to an increased risk of heart, artery kidney and liver disease .
Also, a diet that limits the intake of carbohydrates will cause the body to rely on fat or muscle for energy because carbohydrates are a main source of the energy needed by the body.

When the body breaks down stored fat in order to supply the needed energy, a byproduct is formed called ketones.

Ketones suppress appetite, can cause fatigue, nausea, and can even cause potentially dangerous fluid loss. Individuals with diabetes, heart or kidney issues should seek the advise of a doctor before using the Atkins diet . Excess Ketones can also cause liver and kidney damage in a HEALTHY person. You should monitor your ketones with ketogenic strips , if your urine falls into the moderate color , toxins are in your blood taken from your fat cells in higher amounts than the kidneys can handle , THATS when you consult a doctor , you could be damaging your kidneys , THATS how easy it is to hurt yourself on this diet .

Restricting vegetables and whole grains may lead to long-term health problems.

Individuals on the Atkins diet may lose weight early on in the program, but because of the health risks the weight loss may not seem worth it.

Scientific studies have shown that there are long-term health risks when you cut out fruit and vegetables from your diet.

The "induction" period when dieters are permitted to eat no more than 20 grams of carbohydrates each day. They gradually transmission into a diet that consists of nearly unlimited meats (huge portions ) , poultry, seafood, eggs, cheeses, oils, butter, margarine, bacon, pork and sausages.

During the initial 2 weeks you are not allowed milk, fruits, grains, cereals, breads or "high glycemic index" vegetables like potatoes, peas, corn and carrots. After 2 weeks 5 grams of carbohydrates are added weekly until they reach no more than 40 - 90 grams of carbohydrates, which is considered the "maintenance " phase.

This is a lower carbohydrate amount than what nutrition experts say is a healthy amount to consume. According to health expert’s individuals on the Atkins plan are at risk for heart disease, and osteoporosis and kidney stones.

Diet accounts for 80% of weight loss, exercise contributes for approx 20%. This means, buy adding exercise alone and not eating healthy, you are unlikely to succeed. Exercise makes you feel good and improves your outlook to food. You will feel less need to snack or eat unhealthy stuff. Depending on how many calories you take, reduce you calorie intake so you eat 1000-1500 cals a day. Spread your meals, ideally eat little and often (eg. half a portion of a meal 6 times a day rather than a full portion 3 times a day). Reward yourself reasonably once a week when you do good (e.g. a bar of chocolate or a slice of pizza).

The best thing to lose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.
Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That's an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn't that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?

hey, I did have a diet situation since forever. I tried so many products, nothing seem to work. Till I stumpled upon these tips, I had my doubts at first but I felt there was nothing to lose. I didn't see much result until 2 weeks later, but I was starting to love myself again. After dropping that initial weight, which was such a great experience, I started eating right to keep off the weight completely. I feel great!. This is the place: http://fastloseweightcentral.tk

Eat lots of veggies and fruit, whole grains and minimal amounts of protein. The atkins diet is not healthy as it eliminates veggies and fruits. Cut back on anything you eat with a lot of fat like french fries, fried foods, fast food.

if you want to lose weight, you need to make more room for exercise; atleast 1-2 hours a day. if your mom thinks you're overweight she'll let you start eating healthier.
