Why am I hungry all the time?!

Question: Why am I hungry all the time?
I'm hungry. Right now. And 2 hours ago. And 4 hours ago after I ate my lunch.
Why am I like this? My body isn't fat at all, it actually leans towards skinny. (And I don't have worms in my body that are eating my body out, thats for sure)

I'm 17 and I'm a guy obviously. Thing is, I don't think I have too much growing left (hit puberty at 12 and haven't grown taller for 2 years or so) and so I can't find a reason to why I'm hungry all the time.
I eat a lot too. My family looks at me like I'm crazy after I eat an enormous meal at Taco-Bell and ask for more.

What might be the reason for my hungriness? *stomach growls*

Causes of Excessive Hunger
?Stress can lead to excessive eating.
?Boredom is a common cause of excessive eating as people go on eating when they have nothing to do.
?Depression can force you eat more.
?Quitting smoking can make people eat more.
?Certain medications stimulate appetite, so check your medicines too.
?Quitting alcohol can lead to excessive eating. Are these causes enough to answer your question 'why am I always hungry?'
?Sometimes people mistake thirst for hunger pains. If you drink plenty of water or fluids like milk, soups, milkshakes, it can help you avoid cravings.
?Excessive hunger is noticed in case of marijuana intoxication, undiagnosed or poorly controlled diabetes, bipolar disease, hypoglycemia or low blood sugar, Grave's disease, tapeworms, etc.
?Media's influence on eating disorders is the main concern today. You sit in front of the television and the advertisements bombard you with images of sugary and mouth watering food. You tend to eat those foods even though you don't need them.
?Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder wherein people consume large amounts of food and then try to get rid of the extra calories by purging (induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives, etc.) or non purging (fasting, exercising) behaviour. Excessive eating without purging can be called as binge eating disorder.
?Many people reach for junk food when they are angry or sad. This is called emotional eating. I hope you would agree with me that this is the most common cause of overeating. This can be the simple answer for your query, 'why am I always hungry'. I think you may like to read more on how to supress hunger and how to stop emotional eating.

lol im still crying my eyes out from your answer though! YOUR HILLARIUSS:L:L x

I'm not really sure what it is, but I experience this too.
I'm a 14 year old girl, [started puberty at about 7, haven't grown at all in about 3 years or so] 5'3 and 105 pounds and I eat more than my dad.
It only happens for a few days at a time for me though; then I'll go back to eating less.
So you're not alone ^.^

eating non nutritious foods..makes you hungry..and crave more.

I'm the same way. I'm 16 and I am always hungry and can eat more than my 19 and 25 year old brothers. I eat at least 5 times a day, and these are really big meals. Our problem is most likely due to a high metabolism, in which you break down and digest your food very fast, causing you to be constantly hungry and almost never gaining weight.

Don't worry about it. Just eat what you want when you want. But if you do want to cut back try eating small snacks occasionally to keep you from being hungry most of the time (I tried this, but it really didn't work out for me.)
