Can being on my period hinder the number on the scale?!

Question: Can being on my period hinder the number on the scale?
I've been steadily losing 6-8oz every day since I started eating natural 5 days ago. Yesterday I got my period with tons of cramps and when I weighed myself this morning it says I only lost 2oz. Is it possible this is from being on my period?

Answers:

TBH, can't quite see how measuring a daily loss in terms of ounces can be beneficial, especially over as short a period as 5 days. Even measuring in pounds, an extra cup of tea or glass of water will make a difference...
But to the original question, yes your period can make a difference, though more usually in the week leading up to your period with water retention, but once your period arrives, this is usually lost.

Really, cut the weigh-in down to once a week and go for pounds not ounces. As long as you are eating healthily and not consuming lots of salt (to trigger water retention)...keep the exercise up, then you should see a difference within a few weeks. Weight loss is not an immediate thing, when it is, it's generally down to fluid loss not fat loss- and that's not healthy.

Used to weigh myself around 10 times a day...

WHen your on your period everything seems to inflate :P

you get bloated, boobs get bigger, feet swell, and you eat more because your body needs more energy. So yea, you will weight more on your period. but it is the best time to exercise because of cramps and i think i heard you burn fat better while on your period.

Yes. Most likely it's from bloating and water weight. Just continue with your diet and your weight should go back down within few days :)
