How can I make myself well, bigger?!

Question: How can I make myself well, bigger?
Im 16 years old, and Im a little concerned about how thin my hands, arms and wrists are. I think Im slightly underweight, have an unhealthy diet and do virtually no exercise. So how can I fix this? It's more than a little embaressing when people notice, and some people have even whispered anorexia behind my backs on very rare occassions, something that as far as Im aware, am not.

Normally I would have thought that the obvious answer would be to eat more, but wouldn't that just increase flesh? I think my problems are more bone related?

****, I have no idea how to articulate myself properly. In short, I appear too thin, how can I healthily change this, what needs to be done, and how quickly will I see the effects?

Thanks in advance :)

Answers:

you need to eat more healthy calories... more proteins... you going to need 1-2 grams of protein for each pound u weigh

also you need to eat 20x your current body weight...

so this will all take eating 5-7 times daily..

you also need to lift weights.. 40-60 mins 4-5 days a week... training each muscle once a week..
join a gym if u can train each muscle once a week....

if u cannot join a gym then do a full body home workout...

i will post some videos on how to get you started

You must eat more than what you regularly consumes to change your metabolism. If you take 1500 calories a day, try taking 1800 or more. Make sure you are eating healthy too; simply eating fatty foods just to gain weight will do you no good. Consume a lot of protein such as meat, eggs and beans but be sure to get a good mix of fruits, vegetables and dairy too.

Start working out as soon as possible to gain some muscle on your body.
Your goal however should be muscle gain, not weight gain. Again, unless you're the fast metabolism body type, you can't afford to eat refined junk foods containing white flour, white sugar and processed fats. You simply have to eat larger amounts of the healthy foods. The foods shouldn't change that much between weight gain and weight loss programs, what changes is the calorie amounts.

Include at least 1 tbsp/day of essential fats such as flax oil, or eat fish (Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, or other fatty cold water fish, etc) at least 2-3 times per week. These good fats help with muscle growth, hormone levels and they even have a thermic effect in small amounts, whereas saturated fats are non thermic and they reduce insulin sensitivity. By the way, these "good fats" are great for boosting your calories too because they are so calorie dense. 3500-4000 calories of low fat food is an enormous amount to choke down. Using the essential fats is an easy way to get the high number of calories you need for weight gain.
