Question: What is a healthy weight for a year old?
I am 13 years old and i weigh 106 lbs. Am i overweight??? My distant friends mom told me that i was fat and needed to loose weight. that made me feel really bad?? so what is the healty weight?? i feel fat now....

Well... How tall are you? It all depends on your height. I'm 5'5 and weigh 115 pounds and am normal. But you can check it by using a thing called BMI it can tell you if your over weight or not:)

You don't need to feel bad though. Your mom's friend shouldn't have said anything, that was pretty rude. But if you do want to eat healthier and learn more about fitness there are a lot of resources out there. Also, there are a lot of ways to gauge fitness. Weight is only one way. There is also % body fat, physical fitness tests etc. It can be really rewarding to challenge yourself once you get into it.



It's not about age. It's about height.

If you're over 5'2, you're underweight.
If you're under 5'0, you're slightly overweight.

I was 5'4 and 110 pounds when I was 12. For a 12-year old, sure - that's big. For a 5'4 person, it's underweight.
