Is my weight normal for my height?!


Question: Is my weight normal for my height?
I am a girl.
I weigh 116 pounds and I am 5 feet 4 inches.

Is this a good weight? Just wondering :)

Also, I have a bit of tummy fat that I'd love to trim down. What are some workouts that will target that area and how many/how long should I do them?

Yep. :) I'm 117 and I am 5'4" and at times that I am more contentious about my diet and not eating crap I can drop to 112. And it's not skinny, if someone wants to tell you that they don't know your body type or frame well enough to make that assumption.

Most guides or charts that give healthy weights, imo are giving a little more weight as healthy than really required and it's likely changed in the past 50 years. What was healthy 50 years ago when people were more active is probably underweight now that we all play video games, watch tv, and surf the web all day. ;)

For tummy fat, that's a hard one. There isn't ONE exercise that will fix that. Some bodybuilders will say don't worry about your abs till you are below 15% body-fat. The reason is that you have that layer of fat over top, so training them will only make your abdomen look larger. It takes some time to trim down that belly fat, and while muscle does burn fat, you also will look larger for a while if you build up your abdominals a lot before the fat is gone.

The best way I can suggest to trim down the tummy is to do 30 minutes of cardio at least 3 days a week. 30 minutes of steady cardiovascular activity will promote your metabolism and fat burning.

Also the golden key to a slimmer abdomen is eating healthy and eating "clean". If you cut out soda pop, extra sugars and salts and just focus on trying to eat foods that are just plain good for you, you'll get that goal faster.

Well I'm a girl and I'm 5'4 and weigh 107 but I'm under weight. I have a friend who is the same height and weight as you and she is healthy and slim. O I know I had tummy fat two a I got rid of it by doing gymnastic exercises you know like sit ups crunches... ect

You are perfectly normal!! I weigh 125, and im 5 feet and 2 inches. Some workouts would involve, crunches, bicycling, and so much more.
