I usually eat 300-400 calories over what I technically should and never gain wei!

Question: I usually eat 300-400 calories over what I technically should and never gain weight?
I am a healthy weight and have 0 difficulty in maintaining it.

At the age of 17 I have worked out that to maintain my current weight I should technically be eating 2150 calories a day because I am very active.
But I always eat more like 2450-2550 calories a day and never gain weight... I am not skinny I am just at a good healthy weight.

I am vegan, have no health problems, eat lots of nuts (this is where most of my calories come from), fruit, dried fruit, vegetables, seeds...
I do have quite a high fat diet, pretty much all good fats.

So why do I never gain weight?
Am I at risk of gaining weight?
Why should I be eating less than I do?

Some people just have a high metabolism naturally. Also, by eating at various periods in the day you are actually giving it a boost. Chances are if you're active, you are probably burning more than you think you really are.

High five on being vegan! So am I :)

It's because of your lifestyle right now that you are not gaining weight.

If you were 33 and ate the same amount and worked at a stupid depressing job and came home and watched football all night and didn't exercise, you would gain weight for sure.

So keep being active and don't get a stupid depressing job. Reach for the edge of your potential. Good job bro!
