Why do i feel sick after eating meat?!
Question: Why do i feel sick after eating meat?
I feel sick, cold, shivery and generally just Awful about 3-4 hours after eating meat. I have tried eating a vegetarian diet, and never felt sick, but didn't really enjoy it as I'm not an adventurous cook.
I have a feeling it might be psychologically linked to me being paranoid about contracting food poisoning (I've had it three times in my life and I am terrified of getting it again! as a result, I tend to overcook most of my meat and fish)
I have seen three different doctors, each saying it's a different thing and recommending different courses of action, from taking gaviscon to a pill to reduce stomach activity, which worked the best.
Anyone out there who gets the same or might have some advice?

Have them check your gallbladder. How old are you? My husband had to have his removed when he was in his 20's. He can eat things now which made him sick before. Good luck!

I was a vegetarian and had the same side effect and i just deal with it and dont eat red meant :)
