First, there are not magic pills, diet or exercises to lose weight magically fast, I have tried all :)

The best results are achieved through persistence, however, persistence is hard to maintain.

The secret is to simplify things to keep going:

I recommend you this book:

Yes, its a book, and (almost) everybody hates reading, but this is the best invest you will make in your entire life , I guarantee it (just look at the reviews).

I have followed its principles and have lost a lot of weight with it.

You can download a sample to your PC with Kindle for PC before buying

And no, I don't have any financial interest on this, I really bought this book and I got good results with less effort, I have tried all diets and exercises before (atkins, beach diet, low cal, gym, running, etc.)

I am also trying to lose weight...
I have just started, but to be honest i am not really doing it very healthily.
I am counting calories-less than 800 a day, but to be healthy and under control eat around 1000-1200, and doing at least 100 sit ups, and 50 squats a day. Yesterday i did 300 sit-ups. You need to go to the gym, do running and other cardio workouts.
Building up your muscle increases your muscle to fat ratio, which helps speed up metabolism.
Eat more fibre, and less sodium.

To keep motivated i have set myself goals, and said rewards i will get if i achieve them and i have written fat on my hand every morning. You should also keep some sort of diary/blog to help you along (tumblr is good because you are in a community)

Good luck, hoped i helped.

walking, jogging, skipping, wight training. anything so long as it's more than you're currently doing is a good start and then build up more and more.

and maybe little incentives so say for every 5lb you lose you'll buy yourself something specific as a reward. depending how much you wish to lose you could set your rewards to be more or less than 5lb intervals.
set you final goal weight/dress isze/ bmi with a larger reward maybe a holiday, day trip, shopping spree anything that makes you want to succeed.

remember if you mess up losing weight one day i.e. don't exercise enough, eat too much. don't say you'll start again monday or the first of the month start again immediately those days you wait to start are just wasted and if you're consistant you're more likely to stick to it for the long run.
good luck

Hey , I see you are looking for some information on methods for losing weight.

I had a weight problem from early in my 20's almost until the time I reached my 30th birthday. I tried everything that I saw on television or online, including, Atkins, Slimfast and Special K diets, and nothing worked for my persistent overweight condition.

A girlfriend of mine found a diet that worked real well for her, and she passed it on to me. I was able to lose 25 pounds over 4 months, and I have kept it off for over 18 months at this time. Maybe it will work for you as well, the link is below.

* The root cause is, more of calorie intake and very less of burning them. For example according to the BBC report on April 29, 2003, a basketball would be 170 bars of chocolate, which, if it were to be burned off, a 10-year-old child would need to play for 90 hours.

Weight loss is not an over night miracle but a total lifestyle change. From eating healthy, exercise and a positive frame of mind, weight loss needs an all round approach.

Stevia is an ideal natural sweetener alternative for sugar and artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame. Stevia is a 100% natural herb, with zero calories, a low Glycemic Index , non-toxic and which is 15 to 20 times sweeter than sugar in its natural form and also 200 to 400 times sweeter than sugar in its refined form. Consuming Stevia in natural form i.e. powdered dry leaf is the best way to reap the benefits.

More recent medical research has shown promise in treating obesity. As Stevia has no calories or carbohydrates, it acts as a great weight loss aid and digestive aid. Stevia contains an abundance of phytonutrients and trace minerals. Stevia has been shown to reduce craving for sweets and fatty foods. People have reported that consuming ? tea spoon of powdered dry leaf Stevia in a little water or tea 20 minutes before eating resets hunger patterns in the hypothalamus, helping to reduce overeating. Because it contains no sugar and will not feed yeast, those who are dealing with Candida can use it freely. The herb normalizes blood sugar levels and therefore promotes a consistent energy flow, unlike sugar, which causes a rapid peak in blood sugar followed by a crash then a craving for more sugar. It is interesting that Stevia doesn’t effect normal blood sugar levels or normal blood pressure.

Without a doubt the main reason for its use is to replace dietary sugars which lead to obesity. Western medicine has recently identified a condition known as ‘Syndrome X’, which points to insulin resistance being one of the first steps leading to increased blood cholesterol, high blood pressure and late onset diabetes- the three major killers in the western civilisation. Insulin resistance, in turn, is associated with a diet high in refined carbohydrates and fats.

Stevia has been used for 1500 years as a sweetener, herbal tea and as a medicine for the treatment of diabetes in Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil.(South African Journal of natural medicine). Used in Japan since 1970. Countries such as China, Korea, Israel, Taiwan, Colombia, Panama, Peru, Argentina and Central America all use Stevia as a sweetener.

Stevia is available in several forms like dried leaf form, leaf powder, liquid tincture, extract, concentrate, white powder or clear extract. The healthier is the Stevia dry leaf powder which is in light to medium green and is not water soluble. And also cheaper than the other forms.

Due to its incredible natural qualities and uses in various products, Stevia can be regarded as a boon to the world. It is a great supplement for those who have a craving for the ‘sweet stuff’. What else does a person need, when his taste buds can enjoy the sweetness, without being concerned about the extra calories and he be full of energy all day long!

Please note: Pure Stevia in its natural powdered dry leaf form green in color has all the healing benefits. The refined Stevia extract white in color will loose most of the healing benefits and not recommended by us.
Organic Stevia leaf powder is better.
