I Am An Overweight Teen....?!

Question: I Am An Overweight Teen....?
I am 18 years old and attend high school. I am 5' 6'' and weight 326 lbs. I don't think that I am overweight but my parents say I started struggling with it when I started high school in my new town. In middle school, I was very active, thin, pretty, and popular but know that I feel that I am not as active. I get teased a lot in school, kids don't talk to me and call me "fat face" and tell me to "lay off the cheeseburgers". In 9th grade my weight changed from 120 to 250 in 6 months I never though I was fat when I weight 250 but my thin and active parents though it was an issue when they got involved a year ago. . They took me to a doctor who said that I was morbidly obese and needed to fix it. I tried to fix it myself (although I felt there was nothing to fix but my parents told me otherwise) by working hard on eating right and working out. I lost 25 lbs but this school year I have put it all back on and more, weighing me in at 326 lbs. My doctor wants to send me to fat camp with people to monitor me 24/7 but I am so embarrased! I am not fat! Why should I got to fat camp instead of regular high school!

sorry but yes you are

Hi You face a hugh problem in finding the right weight loss program that works for you. There are so many out there. I have a friend that spent days and weeks and a lot of money searching and finding so many disappointments until he came across this great program. He has dropped 10 lbs. in his first week. I looked into it and was very impressed.

Good Luck

First of all your not overweight, your obese.
Second, I would rather go to fat camp than school if I were you. You would be around people who understand you instead of the people who just laugh and point.

if you are 5"6 and 326lbs...then yes you are in the overweight catagory

You're like 200 pounds overweight, hun. You shouldn't be embarassed about going to a camp to lose weight. In the long run, you'll appreciate the experience because right now nothing is really going to help you lose weight if you don't have the motivation to. I'll admit, I can't just go run around my backyard and excersise around my house because I don't have that self discipline to keep going. Now, if I'm at the gym - I know that I have the motivation to keep going because otherwise I drove all the way to the gym for nothing and just to quit. I suggest going through with your parents' advice about going to the camp, you're going to fix yourself.
