Best way to lose belly and thigh weight?!

Question: Best way to lose belly and thigh weight?
Hi!
Here's some background on me: 15, Female, 5"4', and I weigh 135-140lbs.
My workout plan: I go horseback riding (jumping and flat-work) twice a week (Wed. and Sun.), and I jog for about 45 minutes 2-3 times a week (usually on M. T. and Th.).
That has been my workout plan for about 3 months, yet I still haven't lost weight. My stomach and thighs are still the only things I don't like.
I'm don't have a lot of self-conscious issues, I just think that losing weight in those areas would make me healthier.

Do you know of a more effective way to lose the weight? I won't do anything like bulimia or whatever, that's just unhealthy, please don't suggest that.
And, as a side note, does anyone know of a good way to get rid of stretch marks? I have them on my inner thighs and hipbone area, and I would love to have them gone by swimsuit season, if not its fine :)

Thank you for your help! <3

Hi Erin!

As you mentioned you have been jogging often and for a few months, I recommend you look into HIIT.
It is basically where you run for around 30 seconds as fast as you can and then for 1 minute, you do a slow jog to allow your heart rate to lower, then you run full out for another 30 seconds, and you do it for around 30 minutes, depending on your fitness level.
I'll attach a few links:

Also, it could be that now your body has got so used to the exercise, you need to do something different, sort of like hitting a plateau.
If you have a bike, try cycling and jogging.

Working out is only half the equation, if you haven't lowered your calorie intake (no less than 1,200 and no more than around 1,600) you won't lose weight, instead just build muscle from the working out you are doing.

Stretch marks are a pain, I used Palmer's Cocoa Stretch Mark Lotion and saw a difference in around 3 months, using it twice per day. They went from red and horrible to a faded pink, after another 3 months, they're white. Now, after a year using it every day, they're very faint white lines, I can only notice them under close inspection.

Hope that helps - so, healthy eating and modify your workout routine to push yourself more.

Lost 95lbs.

I am in a very similiar situation and just can't seem to lose weight.
A lot of times it's connected to your hormones so make sure that those are in balance!
Also, you may just be at your body's ideal weight!

Work out (:

eat good

Well, you didn't say anything about your diet, which makes a big difference with your ability to lose weight! The amount of exercise you are doing at the moment is only enough to maintain your weight as well. (30 minutes 5 times a week maintains your weight)
In order to lose weight in your stomach and thighs I suggest you increase your workout to 45 minutes 4-5 times a week. And like I said before, you should take a look at how you are eating-it really does play a huge role in your ability to shed the pounds!

The stretch mark thing is something that I still have a problem with-try finding a cream created for stretch marks at your local pharmacy that may help you!

Lost 50 pounds with eating healthy and workout

hey! i have the same plan minus the horseback riding. hmm drink lots of water. whats ur diet plan?
it could be ur gaining muscle so the weight might go up, but u'll look healthier if u do so it's not a bad thing. cardio though should help. just stick with the plan. if u want weight gone then consume less calories then u burn but if u want ur thigh and belly area to look hotter than just keep up with the muscle training and running! you sound healthy to me though.

for stretch marks i had the same problem. i went to my dr and he prescribed this cream, i'll get it out and give u the name (you might be able to pick some up from cvs.) : tretinoin cream USP 0.1%
thats the exact name and all u do is rub it on ur stretch marks every night and you'll see a pretty good difference if i do say so myself.

edit: your diet sounds healthy as well. that sounds good. Just keep it up.
loosing weight at your age is difficult because your not really supposed to. And your in the healthy range. But for your thighs and belly just keep toning them up with muscle training, elliptical workouts and running and u should start to feel better and see tone-age working its way up!
