Help! I ate 2,000 calories today and I was making good progress. Will I get stom!


Question: Help! I ate 2,000 calories today and I was making good progress. Will I get stomach fat if I eat less tomorrow?
And I was just starting to get a flat stomach! :(

What I ate today:
1 bisquick Pancake
2 tbsp Peanut butter (200)
1 apple
1 palm size chicken breast
? cup of dried berries
? cup Sliced almonds
1 large Sweet Potato (165)
1 cup Spanish Rice (260)
1/8 cup Dried Berries (80)
1 slice of toast (80)
? packet of tuna (90)
1 veggie patty (160)
? apple
Grapes (50)

aside from the pancake i think the rest of the food is healthy. Maybe your body was needing more calories and you ate more. I wouldnt worry about it. In my experience, the more you stress out, the more difficult is to burn the fat. Instead, think "i enjoyed it and im getting to get back on track tomorrow".



It really depends on your weight, body type, and exercise level.

As far as weight is concerned, a person who weighs 98 lbs and does not work out may not lose weight on a 2,000 calorie diet.

A person that is 310 lbs and does not work out will probably lose weight on a 2,000 calorie diet.

This is a SIMPLE method to calculate your daily caloric need by Tom Venuto (bodybuilder and trainer).

Use the lower number if you are lightly active, middle number for moderately active, and higher number for very active.

Fat loss: 10-12 calories per lb of body weight
Maintenance (to maintain your current weight): 14-16 calories per lb of body weight.

This means if you want to lose weight, and you weigh 200 lbs, you would eat 2,000 to 2400 calories per day.

Also, try and split your calories up over 5-6 small meals per day. And any time you eat a carb, have some protein.

If you are active and want to retain muscle for sports or whatever, I would recommend using a carb cycling approach (google it).

No you won't. Trust me, ive experienced worse than you. As Long as you eat healthy on a daily basis.. This won't effect you. I eat like 500-1000 cals a day, just cause that's all I need. But I'll eat 2000- + cals one day just cause I crack once and a while... But tomorrow, just eat only healthy foods. No nuts or pb though, cuz those contain fat and oils, though theyre healthy. Just eat salads and berries and fruits and stuff. Thats what I do:)
