Do you NOT like to be bothered when you are eating ?!

Question: Do you NOT like to be bothered when you are eating ?
I work in a hospital , am on a diet to lose that last 5 pounds to get down to 105 so I rarely eat . Even though I can eat in my office , if someone comes in and talks to me I feel like throwing something at them .

Same thing at home , even when I'm not dieting , though its worse when i am , all i can think is "Cant you let me just EAT for five minutes." . At NO other time do I mind being talked to or bothered ONLY when I am eating

It sounds like the incessant dieting makes you cranky. It creates an unfriendly and erratic atmosphere at home. I would give up my food, if my child wanted it. Maybe reexamine this obsession or talk with a co worker. As I came from a large family, noise or requests at the table don't turn me into a fire breathing dragon. I would rather eat a healthful diet than scar my youngins. Eat regular meals, like fish, seafood and leafy greens to curb this irascible tendency.

You're telling me! I really prefer to be alone when I eat. For me, eating my meal is one of my most peaceful and enjoyable moment (kinda like sex). I don't like talking while I'm chewing my food. I can't enjoy what I'm eating and food particles would be flying out of my mouth (gross!).
