What can I do to lose weight, I need motivation.?!

Question: What can I do to lose weight, I need motivation.?
Here it goes,
I'm 16 years old and I'm roughly 250 lbs. Being only 5' 6'' doesn't help either. When I was younger I use to be healthy, but as I grew older, I've definitely changed. My eating habits are horrible, and even though I know I'm not hungry i still eat it. I rarely exercise and when I do try to lose weight, nothing happens. I know it's mostly my fault but I want someone to help me along the way. My family isn't supportive at all, they make fun of me call me names and my mother buys snack foods and soda everyday, because she says it's cheap. I can't resist the urge to eat it when I see it. I know I have a major problem. I don't understand though I am a straight A student that is involved in many extra curricular activities and I play volleyball, but I can't manage to do an easy thing as lose weight. I feel helpless and lost, 2 weeks ago, I witnessed my cousins death, she had a heart attack. Although she was 48 years old and mentally impaired, she was a huge source of happiness in my life, that day when my father and i attempted CPR and failed, when i say her take her last breath with a smile, I new I had to change my ways because obesity can cause heart attack and I don't want to go through what I saw. I want to lose weight for myself, to be healthy and for her, my best friend. I just need motivation can someone please help.

Watch the show "I Used to Be Fat". I'm 15 and watching it really gives me motivation because it's about teenagers trying to lose weight. It's kind of the "The Biggest Loser" but for teens. It's really inspirational and motivational. Some of them have unsupportive families and I bet you can find one of them that you connect with. You can watch the show on mtv.com

If you know what your doing is wrong, you dont have a problem. You have the key to stop. So if your not hungry dont eat. Do 30 min of intense cardio everyday, and dont eat fast food. Only drink water and diet drinks. Eat whole grains, no white pasta and no white bread. It sounds hard, but its not. Once you get used to it, and get in that "mode" you learn to love it and it becomes your life. Tell your mom not to buy garbage and that your trying to make a life change. If she loves you she will understand and want to help, if not you need to find the motivation within you to make the change. Telling friends and family and getting their support is the best way to accomplish goals. Also to loose a pound a week, you need to subtract 500 calories a day from your diet, to burn 3500 extra calories a week. The science of it all is online and its very basic. Google calorie needs calculators and plug your info in and go from there. If you dont make the right choice its your own fault, you have the tools and I believe you can do it. If not your just making excuses, I know, I've been there. Its you against the world, the possible casualties are your heart and your soul. The choice is yours. I leave you with this quote......"I gotta get in shape. Too much sitting has ruined my body. Too much abuse has gone on for too long. From now on there will be 50 pushups each morning, 50 pullups. There will be no more pills, no more bad food, no more destroyers of my body. From now on will be total organization. Every muscle must be tight. I cannot and will not stop until I reach my goal or I totally breakdown."

Keep saying that in your mind and keep working and in a few months you will see progress if your honest with yourself and commit to it. You can do it, I believe in you. It seems hard now, but just think by summer your life could be changed. If your willing to work for it. Don't be beaten.

you need to change your mental processes. Dont tell yourself "i want that cookie and i cant have it". You have to tell yourself "I do not want that stupid cookie".

You have to change your mindset from deprivation to empowerment.

if you find yourself looking for a junk snack. stop, and out loud tell the food "you are stupid junk food. look at me. look what you did to me. i freaking hate you and i DO NOT WANT YOU." Actually laugh at how stupid the junk food is, out loud. it seems silly, but you can really retrain your own brain.

lastly, do more working out. if you have a good workout day, and have healthy food available for afterwards, you wont want to mess up all your hard work with junk food.

PS- healthy food doesnt mean gross food! there are pleanty of DELISH healthy meals you can make. look online for recipes of things you like.

hungrygirl.com is a great website. it tells you how to make "junk" food healthy at home. (healthy taco bell tacos! healthy pizza!)

250 is obese no matter how tall you are. You are very right for wanting to be healthier. Don't ever give up and don't cave in to people who say "Men want REAL curves" because honestly, nobody wants to look like that. Ignore your family. It is hard I know, but just because they want to ruin their health doesn't mean you should have to. My mom was the same way, but once I started exercising and eating right, guess who got inspired? Yep. My mom.
