Question: So, I just joined a gym today, what equipment gives the quickest results?
I just joined a nearby 24 hour fitness. I have a trip to Mexico in the begining of April and i really would like to be mostly in shape by then but my real dead line is July. I would like to be about 50 pounds lighter by then. I dont expect to loose a pound a day, but i do expect to shed alot of stomach-fat.
Here's what im interested in doing:
-toning up my legs and butt, but not really losing any thickness in them
-making my arms be skinner and less jiggly, but i DO NOT want to be buff (not sexy lol)
-Getting rid of my love handles
-Getting my stomach flat, but i DO NOT want any form of a 6-pack.

Things i DO NOT want:
-a 6-pack
-to be buff
-to make my butt or thighs too hard
-to make my boobs smaller. BIG NO NO!

I've heard that spinning class helps you burn alot of calories and loose weight fast so i was thinking of taking it.

If you are female, getting "buff" ('muscly') is hard. We typically don't have the right hormones for it. Don't worry about it. Also, you cannot "spot" lose. If you lose weight overall, you should be better in the love handles and belly area.

Spinning is a good class for burning calories and will also help tone up your legs and butt. If you want to make your arms less jiggly, some triceps work with dumbbells or one of the pulley machines would help.

The main thing is: do something you enjoy and are willing to do regularly. Consistency is more important than anything else here.

Also, don't forget to eat right. Don't overeat thinking you've burned it off and "deserve" this treat. But don't starve yourself either. Think protein - it'll help your muscles rev up your metabolism. Cut out the processed junk and try to avoid a lot of high-carb starchy stuff. Eat real food - not junk and your body will respond to your workouts better.



Dumbbells. Dumbbell press, dumbbell rows, dumbbell military press, dumbbell lunges, etc.



A trackrunner, or mill runner not sure what it is call, but it will help you lose weight as well as toning your legs!



They should have experts who tell you what to do at the gym, just ask them what you need to do :D
