Question: I'm underweight & I need help?
I am 13 & 7 months.,
Weight;79-81
Height;5"1

I eat normal but I have a high metabolism.
My doctor even told me I'm underweight./:
I look gross because you can see a lot of my bones.!
I feel so awkward in a bikini cuz of this.
What are some ideas/foods/snacks/drinks that would help me gain weight?
Would drinking milk help? Thanks!(:

Answers:

Try eating foods that are low density, high calorie. Dried fruits are great for this, so raisins, craisins, etc. they are high in calories but won't make you feel extremely full. Nuts and peanut butter are high in calories and they are healthy fats, so try incorporating those in your diet more. Try some energy bars that are made for athletes, they contain nutrients that are meant for someone to put on some weight and you can find them anywhere, even at the grocery store. Whole milk is a good idea and yogurt with 3% milk fat will help you gain weight. DO not eat a bunch of junk food, but if you're the kind of person who never eats it at all you might want to consider indulging just a little bit until you put on a little bit of weight. Good luck!

Step 1: Calculating unique caloric needs. Basal Metabolic Rate will be calculated, and added to your unique level of activity, and on a case by case basis, adjusted for desired weight gain total.

Step 2: Analyzing macronutrient needs. The percent of carbohydrate, proteins, and fats, as well as their sources, can have a profound effect on weight gain. Your unique needs will be the sole factor in determining such percentages. A menu pattern based on this information, and the calculation of step 1, will completely remove all the guess work out of consuming enough calories. A daily meal pattern will provided to avoid the tedious task of counting calories.

Step 3: Designing an individualized comprehensive supplementation program: Supplements are a necessity in a weight gain program. All supplement recommendations are planned around your individual needs, allergies, sensitivities, and compounding factors, such as reaching caloric requirements. At the center of the supplement program is a product from Biochem called TMX. TMX provides a complete high protein meal, which will be adjusted with other ingredients based on individual needs, current training programs, and caloric requirements.

Are you hitting those reps hard at the gym, but not making gains? Altering the anabolism/catabolism balance through targeted supplementation can be a successful addition to a weight gain plan. Put simply, anabolism is the process of building tissue, and catabolism is the process of tissue breakdown. Such balancers include beta hydroxy-beta methybutyrate (HMB) and phosphatidylserine. In human studies, HMB has shown promise as an anti-catabolic when used in conjunction with a resistance training program. A number of studies have indicated that admistration of phosphatidylserine reduced ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) response during exercise. ACTH triggers secretion of cortisol, which is most responsible for post exercise catabolism. Supplementation reduced soreness and chronic fatigue that is associated with high intensity strength training. A full explanation of all supplements will be provided with the 4 step program.

Step 4: Personal training schedule: Proper training is a key factor to successfully alter body composition by building muscle. Splitting or compounding opposing muscle groups during training, as well as recommendations for duration, repetitions, and specific techniques will be provided.

I personally think you are perfect.A high metabolism is where the body actually will run fast and it will help to burn calories. If a person has a high metabolism they will not have to worry so much about what they eat. So it doesnt matter what you eat you will just burn it off and sooner or later you will gain weight but just keep eating like you do your fine...but if you disagree there you go above ^^^^

Here's an advice, don't put the bad weight on, for example don't get yourself used to junkfood and such, there are some type of people call them selves the rawfooders they eat such as fruit vegs and such, nothing cooked, the underweight would gain to the good limit and the overweight would lose, its something like body adjusting I assume.

here's a website for some rawfooders with pictures, help yourself!

Hi First off you don't look gross, your just a little skinny that's all. We can never be happy with ourself have you noticed that? We are either too fat or too skinny; too tall or too short. Anyways my advice ; Don't eat junk food, don't eat food with lots of fiber, don't drink too much sodas. You should eat meat, potatoes, fruits, veggies, and bread. Good luck beautiful girl!

id eat junk food personally, drink some soda, that helped me, i used to be like 95 pounds now im 140 and im actually able to play football :)

16 y.o guy who used to be skinny

Don't JUST eat fats as your body still needs vitamins and minerals so still eat fruit, meats, dairy etc. but eat more fats.

i dont think you should worry,,if you feel fine..and are slim..it is your natural wish of your body.
