Question: How to lose weight/fat fast?
I am 13 and i am 140 pounds and i have a weight and fat problem. I would like to know how to get ride of it fast and healthy. I want to do it healthy so i don't get health problems.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.



Cardio! its the easiest and cheapest way to burn fat. but when you go the gym or out for a jog, don't just stick to the 'fat-burning range,' which requires a lower heart-rate than the 'cardio workout range,' because while you burn a greater PERCENTAGE of fat in the fat-burning range, you still burn more calories the harder you run.

just exercise regularly and make sure to change your diet: cut out junk food, drink lots of water, stick to natural sugars, eat raw veggies, etc. it's also useful to change the way you eat. instead of three big meals, break it down into smaller, more frequent meals and snack healthy! it keeps the metabolism going. at age 13 (especially in girls) ive come to see that more teens are concerned with their weight, i am 16 and at 13 i did A LOT of extreme stuff like starving diet pills and purging to lose weight, and so did my friends... but seriously dont do anything that lol. it doesnt work. ive come to find out, however what does work is eating MADD healthy

5-6 SMALL meals a day like; an apple, a cup of some veggies, oatmeal, a small serving of fish or chickn about the size of your palm.. stuff like that
avoid toppings like ketchup, salt, mayo, and butter pretty much avoid it all
drink LOTS of water intake 6-8 cups
1200-1600 intake on calories
40-60 grams of sugars/carbs
(AND NOTE not all fats are bad for you :) )

working out

doing 30 minutes of cardio
and 45 minutes of tonig up like crunches leg lifts arm excersizes everything that will help you build mustle and lose fat :)

you'll start seeing results TRUST me and this is the best way to do it.
from personal experience
but before you do all of this you need to be mentally set to stick to your diet and excersize routine. its definetly hard to get used to at first but after awhile youll see weight loss, youll feel better, and youll have LOTS of good energy :D

One good exercise is lay on the ground then put your legs up and try to repeatedly touch your feet do a set of 30 and if it hurts, then its good.
