How fat am I....................?!

Question: How fat am I....................?
I am 13 years old 5'5 and i weight 170lbs. I know.... it's sick. I have a mom that weights like 260 and a dad that weights about 326. I am CHANGING MYSELF on Mar 1st. (Thats when I start my diet.)

Mom's pretty inspirational about this but I need a bit more.

______________________________________…

I am homeschooled so I can exercise most of my day.

I calculated that I would lose about 4526 calories with all my exercise. For the rest of the week. I am gonna walk about 18 times around my block/day 9 times in morning and 9 at night. Ok so thats 6 miles/day. Also... that burns 4000 calories I probably eat like 1600 calories per day now.

BUT when I start diet/exercise I am gonna eat 1200 calories.

Please give me inspiration.

Thanks all.

Awh babe i have the EXACT same problem as you xx im 13 and 170 lb but im 5ft 6 inch and im gonna start losin weight tomorrow! You should start tomorrow...the sooner the better :) although im not homeschooled and cant exercise all day im planning on doing pretty much the same diet as you :) But just go for it and just always think about how you want to look or want to be like :) that inspired my mum to lose weight and now shes less than me! Email me at anonymous_fate@yahoo.com i find it best when you've got someone to lose weight with you :) xx good luck

How I'm 11 and you are an inspiration to me . I'm over weight. About 130 :( my mom is over weight and my dad too. I'm starting to run too. Probubly two times a day. Good luck to you...

why begin at march? start tomorrow.

kayla 130lbs isn't overweight, you're just paranoid about it.

i agree with the the first guy, start tomorrow

uhmmm that's really unhealthy.

You'd be losing almost a pound a day, and when you lose that much, you're 95% likely to gain it back. You can lose weight, and get to where you want to be, and i know you don't want to hear that that isn't a good idea, but truly.. your body will go into starvation mode and you'll actually retain more fat. :(

I encourage your weight loss and exercise, but pleeeeeease do it in a healthy manner!

I've lost 40 pounds, i'm a teenager, and i tried to do the exact same thing.

Small steps girl.

Counting calories as much as you do, isn't the best way. The exercise you're doing is good, but to lose a healthy amount of weight, it's good to do all around exercise, and not just walking. Running and walking as your only form of exercise increases leg muscle, but actually makes you lose upper body muscle, along with fat. Try doing some sit ups, push ups, things like that. Also try lifting weights. Nothing excessive, just get a 5 pound or so dumbbell and lift that a few times throughout the day. Working your whole body will work better, but make sure you don't over do it. Spread out your exercises, and you don't have to do all of them every day, get a variety and make a schedule.

Food wise, you're focusing way too much on the calories. With a healthy lifestyle, calories convert to calories. If you don't have enough calories with the good amount of exercising you're doing, you'll burn out, and that's just bad. Try not to focus so much on that, but more of what you're eating.

Always eat a healthy, "big" breakfast, because you'll be less likely to snack during the day. Don't skip meals! People usually think it's good to do this, but it's not at all. Just listen to your body, and eat when you're HUNGRY, not when you're bored.

Drink a lot of water, 8 cups a day is great if you can handle it. A lot of times your body is just dehydrated, and you think you need food, but really you need water. Also try chewing gum if you feel like snacking, because your body craves flavor, not food all the time.

This may seem kind of confusing... To wrap it up, I kind of rambled, there's only a few things you need to pay attention to. Watch what you eat, do an overall body work out, and drink a lot. Keep yourself entertained, since teenagers especially eat out of boredom. Stay away from trans fats, only have a little. Don't eat excessive amounts of saturated fats, and stop counting calories so intently!

Good luck. :)
