How much weight can I healthily lose in a month?!


Question: How much weight can I healthily lose in a month?
I'm a 20 year old female, 5'2 and about 155-160 pounds. What is the most weight I can drop per month in a healthy way? I don't want to go on any crazy diet, knock out any food completely, or spend more than an hour per day at the gym. What is a healthy amount to lose and how should I go about doing it? Thank you.

It's healthy to lose 10 pounds in a month. Not more than that. That's about 2 pounds a week.

Oddly enough youre in the same boat I was about 4 months ago. I'm 5'1 20 year old female as well and I used to weigh 154 and Im down to 128. I lost about 8 pounds in a month which is about the max. 2 lbs a week is about right. I try to run for 30-60 minutes a day and I do about 3 sets of 40 lunges after Im done running. Drink lots and lots of water. :) water fills you up and keeps you hydrated for your workouts. You don't have to knock out food completely just eat healthy foods like veges and fruit. (I sneak in a bit of chocolate every once and a while lol ;) ) Don't eat a ton of junk food. If you drink soda try and cut back to little to none. Soda has a bunch of extra calories you don't need and diet soda has aspartame in it that makes you crave sweets. :



The healthy weight loss is no more than 2 pounds per week. So you can lose maximum 8 pounds in a month. This is because you do not want to lose your muscles which are essential for your metabolic rate. If you want to lose weight healthily, you definitely need to control your diet and exercise. There is no shortcuts. You do not need to spend an hour in the gym if you do not have time or you do not like it. You just need 30 - 45 minutes of quality workouts and you can workout on alternate days i.e. Mon, Wed & Fri.

You can run at least 2 miles 4 times a week and cut back on salty foods. Also drinking a lot of water and milk instead of soda or juice. Eat more fruits and vegetables.If you cannot do the running just walking a mile or more a day combined with less salty foods, water/milk, and fruit, you can lose 7-12 lbs in a month.

the MOSTTTTTTTTT you can lose healthily within a week is 2 kilograms. Usually it is .5-1 kilograms per week. So you could lose anything from 2-8 kilograms in a month. I would aim for about 5 in a month.

dietitian's say 10 lbs. however I lost approx. 28 lbs in a month by cutting back on starches. limited sweets and NO SODA OR JUICE! I had water and milk only!
