Can exercising inconsistently but zealously have a detrimental effect?!
Question: Can exercising inconsistently but zealously have a detrimental effect?
Say you exercise sporadically and maintain no consistent routine, but when you exercise you give it all your heart and burn all your fuel. Would that have a negative impact and cause your body to adopt a "fat-storage mode" making the weight-loss process harder? What other effects can it have?
By the way, I'm a normal weight, healthy, and just trying to become slimmer, stronger, fitter and more toned if that makes a difference.

Answers:
No. Some exercise, however sporadic, is certainly better than no exercise. That said, establishing a workout routine would be more ideal in trying to achieve your goals.
