My back hurts so bad, maybe from working out?!


Question: My back hurts so bad, maybe from working out?
I worked out like two days ago, and I never ever work out. We got a new weight lifting set so I decided to mess around with it a little while my boyfriend broke it in. I did a little bit of lifting; 4 reps (just the bar, which was 50 pounds), I did that thing where you pull it down behind your head; 2 reps (100 pounds) and I did some push up off the bench; 10 push ups.

My back hurt a little bit yesterday but not as bad as today and my chest muscles hurt yesterday as well but not today so much. My upper and middle back hurt today (mostly middle back right below where my bra strap is) the night I worked out and the morning after, my lower back hurt a lot.

Is all this pain just from that little bit of working out? Maybe I pulled a muscle, I didn't stretch.

I am 19, 6 feet tall and I weigh 120 pounds. I am really skinny and have almost no muscle at all.

yeah.. that's probably how. Working out, especially if the proper form is not execuited, can cause injuries later. I hurt my back from working out hard and running alot. I went off running for about 3/4 weeks and did alot of back strengthing exercises. You should look into it that way you can try to prevent serious back injuries in the future.
