Three miles a day is for three weeks is a lot .
Your body- knees, ankles- would break down.
This is why people join the ymca. I can't run every day for three weeks, but I can do different things every day. I take a 45 min bicycle (spin) class 4 times a week. I lift 3 days a week; I run on Sundays.
No one knows...how much do you weigh now, what is your physique like, height?
If you run for 3 weeks for 3 miles a day with proper dieting you could lose a healthy 10 pounds. I say healthy because anything else and you will start losing muscle. You could potentially lose over 20 pounds but I don't recommend doing that!

You could run for 1 mile and practice healthy dieting. This would be more effective than running 3 miles. The 3 miles means your body will break down muscle and you don't want that. Stick to 1 mile but make it challenging. You could run for 1 minute>Sprint for 15 seconds>walk for 30 seconds> run for 1 minute>Sprint for 30 seconds>walk for 1 minute> and repeat.
After you finish a mile than sprint for as long as your body allows you to and that is all you need.
