Burning it by diet and exercise is usually easiest, since it still takes quite a bit of effort to burn 3500 calories through exercise. But good for you! Not only do you seem to know what you're doing, but you've decided to do it.

You need a 3500 deficit.
Meaning, you didn't eat 3500 calories you normally would have, or burned off that 3500. Just eat whatever you normally do, minus 500 calories or eat normally and burn that off
