Is it possible to lose five pounds a week for five consecutive months?!

Question: Is it possible to lose five pounds a week for five consecutive months?
I will be a sophmore in college this coming fall and my freshman year sucked because i was to ashamed to go out and do anything because my clothes never fit like they should. For a fresh start i want to start a diet on March first by eating strictly grilled chicken salad, fruits and water with about two hours of exercise everyday. With all of this would i be able to lose 5 pounds each week for five consecutive months which means my diet would end august 1. I weigh 250 now and by july 25 i would like to weigh 150. Is any of this possible or am i completely above my head. Are their any diet pills that can aide me in my efforts? I dont want the pills that have such fast results and you gain double as soon as you stop taking them.. Any suggesstion???

No its not possible.

I am a Gym Instructor and a Plyometrics Coach.

7 pounds a month weight loss is the highest attainable goal we can set for our clients. Considering their health intact and lifestyle very minimally change.

Now you are pertaining to a good start, eating the right thing and exercise. Considering you followed your diet without cheating on it and an average of 1.5hours of exercise, you can loose weight.

Forget pills, 3 out of 4 weight loss pill user ends up gaining more weight and lets say your the lucky one who loss pounds, its only as good as the minute you take it. Soon all the fats will comeback if you stop.

You may be in a lil over your head .. But it's not worth trying ..

Never ever ever take pills.. forget the weight gain after they effect your heart and liver .. and more

I can give you a few tips .. For starters start with an easy fast .. I recommend this.. and it's cheap
http://www.amazon.com/Zand-Quick-Cleanse…

Next start a log of everything you eat .. and start calorie counting next to what you eat.. if you write what you eat you are less likely to cheat..

Exercise routine.. remember you have to burn more calories then you eat to lose weight .. run in place (put on a youtube documentary and watch it for ten minutes).. sprint in place (in between a couple videos).. get into kickboxing (BILLY BLANKS ROCKS), get it off the net.. learn how to hold your muscles.. and when your body can handle it .. put a pull up bar in your doorway .. and hold your chin above the bar and pull your knees to your chest .. do this randomly through the day..

Idk your weight and all that so I would try and go for a 1500 cal. diet .. (you will be suprised what you can eat if you eat healthy) ..

Try and stick to whole foods, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables (with balsamic vinegar) or steamed..

No more condiments or any other drinks then water, tea or coffee.. cut down on the sugar and the milk..
DO NOT USE FAKE SWEETENERS.. it is a scam..

my favorite for dieting is salads of all kinds.. all time is black beans with some red hot mixed together(you can use red hot, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, or any vinegar, sea salt and black pepper all day long... and a lil olive oil for stir frying your veges) over some salad, with tomatoes and black olives and a lil crumbled low fat chedder cheese .. or salad wraps with the same ingredients..

Hope all this helped .. if you need advice let me know..

you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil and pepper, spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)

Don't get too hung up on how much you can lose each week. No matter what some weeks will be more than others, but it all adds up to success in the long run. Check into a program like Weight Watchers. You will need that kind of support. You should be allowed to occassionally have something to eat besides the foods that you listed or you will go crazy & fall off that diet at some point. Drink lots of water and not too much diet soda. You have youth on your side, so you can do it.

I lost 37 pounds in about 4 months with WW and walking for 30 minutes 3-4 X week.
