Question: Will cardio alone make me lose weight?
i'm 16 and weigh 250lb. i've started eating better. i also started exercising and my workout routine consists of 20min on my elliptical and 50 push ups&sit ups. btw i've started drinking about 1liter of water a day. will i lose any weight at this point. (my goal is about 185)

Absolutely. Keep up the great work.
Stay in a routine and be sure to switch it up every week to 2 weeks.
This is so your body always has to adapt to the exercise as opposed to being used to it. You should start seeing changes soon.

Cardio alone will not. Diet is very crucial to losing weight. Without creating a caloric deficit through diet and exercise, your results will take longer and may be minimal. I know you're a bit of a big boy but you need to start jogging at the very least. Running is a better workout than an elliptical in my book. You simply can't get the burn and heart rate going on an elliptical like pure running.
