I Need Help With Eating Healthier. Help ?!

Question: I Need Help With Eating Healthier. Help ?
Im going grocery shopping this Saturday. I go grocery shopping every Saturday. Ive been trying to eat healthier, but honestly Im kind of clueless when it comes to doing so. What is some stuff I can get to make meals with, snacks, breakfast? I cant get high priced stuff. So keep it kind of cheap, and easy. I dont want to go all out with the meals since Ill be the only one eating it. Everyone else in my house likes fried, fattening foods. Lol. So as much details as possible please. Thanks (:

Even though you mentioned you don't want to go "all out" on the meats, remember this: You can always buy in bulk from Coscto for example and freeze a lot of the chicken and meats.

Your staple of food should include chicken breasts, turkey breasts, eggs, egg whites, tuna, tons of green vegetables, fish and some fruit (limit fruit intake b/c it does contain sugar). You want to eliminate as much processed crap as possible. It's okay to have a few protein bars (processed) b/c I don't see that as a major problem. If you stick to these foods and eat decent portions along with working out, you'll be fine.

Try and also stay away from the white flour products (pasta, white bread etc). Stick to whole wheat. White causes your insulin to spike, which promotes fat storage.

For breakfast, healthy cereal(oats) with milk or low fat yoghurt.
lunch..maybe a cabbage or celery soup :) There are a lot of different recepies around the web.

Snacks: Avocado, Red/green pepper, carrot, tomato, persimmon, pear, apple and so on. (I do not recommend bananas though)

Dinner: Brown rice with soy sauce/curry (and meat, if you dont want to eat like a vegetarian)

Drink water, no soda/juice or whatever!

You should maybe keep track of what you usually eat (write down in a note book) and then see what
(unhealthy) foods you dont need to eat.
