What is the best workout program for older women?!


Question: What is the best workout program for older women?
I'm currently doing the P90X program, my niece is doing Hip Hop Abs and my mom is looking to get in with us but I know she can't keep up with the workouts due to her having a bad knee and a bad back. She is in her mid 50's and I was trying to find a program that was a little easier for her at least for starters. She is mainly looking to loss and tone all around (so I'm shying away from anything that targets one area). Anybody have any suggestions?

Have you looked into Power 90? I suggest this because similar to P90X and Hip Hop Abs it is also by Beachbody.

It's all all around fitness program that works your entire body. Compared to P90X, it's less intense, less of a daily time commitment, and costs less money. You can get away with just a resistance band, which comes with the workout program.

Yoga is a great, low impact form of exercise. At her age, she should be concentrating on flexibility.
