oh bud so amny reaons if you can only do six that its not your max but if you cant do a few sets its almost max out so ya alot of factor can occur you rest time your spooter how you were feeeling what you ate what you had been doing and but you have to do these thing every otherday alot more and step you weight down i do 3 sets of 8 at 200 pound im just saying to work your way to that you should try to do set at 75% you max rep so for you start one day at 165 and work it up every other day get lots of rest in and do more diffrent varient bench work outs and will help increase so ya for maxing out pretty much like you do alot of factors affect love to ansewer any oof your questions contact me for any quick responses ) personal trainer and nutrion degree student congrads bud average man max out is 150 lb
