Why am I gaining weight?!

Question: Why am I gaining weight?
So I count the calories I eat everyday. Today I ate a little less than 1400 calories which is a few hundred calories lower than I usually do. I also weigh myself in the morning and at night before I take a shower. I have two scales that I step on every day and I take the average of the two and use that as my weight. This morning one scale said I was 120 and the other said i was 122 (averaging to be 121) before my shower tonight one said I was 123 and the other said I was 122. I'm not going to lie I didn't exercise today other than my volleyball weight training (which is very low intensity) but that still shouldnt make me gain weight. I even took the measurements around my body and they are all the same. This has been happening a lot lately. Could anyone tell me how I can lose the weight instead of gain it or just lose inches off my body?

Diets are worthless. Trust me, I've been on SEVERAL, and in the end I've realized a diet is basically forcing yourself to eat less when your still HUNGRY. that will just make you gain more weight. You MUST change your eating plan COMPLETLY, but even then it's hard. Excersize is the way to go. Cardio is what you need to be doing. Goodluck.

Due to what we consume during the day whether it be glasses of water or food, it adds up to six pounds of your actual weight. That is why physicians recommend you weigh yourself in the morning because it is before you have consumed anything that will make your weight read differently. Think about it, if you weigh 120 and then eat 1400 calories worth of food, it would all balance out to a couple pounds of food in your body, making you 122.

If your working out a lot you should be eating more, and because your not your body goes into starvation mode and stores as much fat as it can get out of what you eat, therefore your gaining weight. Or you could be gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat :)

Diet is nothing without exercise. Even if the volleyball low intensity thing did help slightly, it is still not enough. A harder work out is need in addition to a diet to make sure you are losing as much weight as possible.

weighing yourself every day is only going to upset you. weigh yourself once every 7 days.An excellent workout routine and great diet you will only lose 2 pounds a week.
