if i eat 1500 calories a day, will i loose weight?!


Question: If i eat 1500 calories a day, will i loose weight?
trying to loose some weight... 5ft 3.5in... 120lbs... :( wanna loose 5lbs, then i'd be so happy :) any tips? i'm going to drink LOTS of water and plan to eat 1500 calories. Is this good? I walk a lot, but don't do much else..

You cant lose weight unless you EXERCISE. You just cant. How bout try running or a light jog. Seriously, unless you plan on being anorexic, exercise is key. Im actually at the same place you are. Same weight same goal, except Im 5ft 6.



You should work out some, but I don't judge on these matters. And you don't need to drink lots of water, a way to tell is pinch the skin on the back of your hand, if it goes back to flat, then you are properly hydrated. OK....

Stick with nonstarchy veg's also, apples are OK, but don't do carrots or potatoes.


I think you'll be fine. Just take it one day at a time and do not weigh yourself except once every few days first thing in the morning.



Most likely yes, but as to the time frame depends on how many calories you burn per day. For example if your body burns 2000 calories per day, consuming 1500 calories should lead to fat loss of approx 1lb per week. But even if only burning say 1600-1800 calories a day, you'll still lose weight but it will take longer to reach your goal. Hope this helps.



if you eat less than what youre eating now, then yes...but dont focus on calories so much because its unrealistic. losing weight hsould be a journey to good health, and you wont be able to count calories all the time for the rest of your life. just exercise more than you do now, and make healthy changes to your diet.
