Question: Want to lose weight but people say I'm already skinny?
I weigh 98 pounds, I'm 14 and 5'5", but I feel fat and would like to lose just a bit of weight around my upper inner things. Any advice?

you're already underweight . . it's time you consider getting help for your eating disorder . . it's not time for a diet. . . yeesh!



You're still growing if you're only 14. Losing weight when you're already only 98 lbs. is a bad idea. If you want to "lose fat" around your thighs you're better off continuing to eat enough to maintain your body weight and researching exercises to strengthen and tone the underlying muscle. Losing weight in your case is a really unhealthy idea and can have some negative side-effects.

An adult woman of your height should weigh from 117-155 lbs. depending on your frame. An adult man of your height should weigh from 134-160 lbs. depending on your frame. Considering you're not even fully grown yet, you don't really need to lose weight--just change your shape through a little exercise (if that's what you want).

Drink plenty of water. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.



Facts are facts and numbers are numbers. I believe you said your 98 lbs and 5'5 Many doctors would tell you your underweight. So losing weight at these numbers would be foolish. Maybe, you should talk with a doctor about this, because you are not fat. However, maybe you just like the attention?



Well the warm days are coming in a couple of weeks so it's best off if you go bike-riding everyday for about 30 minutes and truth be told you are really skinny!



You are perfect. I had a friend that keep thinking she was fat when actually skinny. She started doing all kinds of things to lose weight and she got the Big C. Be happy with yourself.
