Question About Starvation Mode?!

Question: Question About Starvation Mode?
Okay so let's say you need 2,000 calories a day. But you eat just one meal for all day at McDonalds and the calories for that meal is 2,000. If you don't eat the rest of the day, but you are excruciatingly hungry will your body go into starvation mode even if you have the right amount of calorie intake? Just curious, not planning on doing it! Thanks:)

I'm not for sure on this, but I would assume this is a bad idea.

If you take in a lot of calories at once, your metabolism will burn them off faster because of the excess. If you eat a 2,000 calorie breakfast, little do you know you might end up burning them all off by dinner time.

Also, McDonalds isn't healthy. What's really important, especially for diets, and especially if you're going to undertake some crazy one meal a day thing, is to eat a LOT of vegetables. Some people go through an entire day without eating vegetables, which is crazy because our bodies need the nutrients.

Also, you should keep in mind that starvation mode isn't instantaneous. It happens about 4-5 days after a low-calorie intake diet. (Most commonly assumed to be under 1200 every day) When you stop feeling hunger altogether is when you should be worried, because your body basically assumes there's no food around so it stops bothering to remind you and works on conserving energy.

wrong. Your body goes into that mode because it has to parse out the calories for the whole day from that one meal. So you basically telling your body "hey here is food now but dont count on anymore coming later." so now it has to assume that there is not more food coming later and goes into storage mode. the point of this mode is to just keep you alive so it stores the calories as energy for later which is fat.

Yes. Your body goes into starvation mode not only based on caloric intake. It is nutrient based.

To be honest?
