How many calories do I need to lose weight?!


Question: How many calories do I need to lose weight?
My BMR says I need 1801 to maintain my weight at 28 years old, 5'6in. So how much should I eat to lose weight at 224 pounds and moderate activity daily? I want to lose at least 2 pounds a week until I hit my goal of 140 pounds.

You should do what my girlfriend does. She eats lots of fruit, vegetables and meat and doesn't bother counting calories. Then she just exercises a lot (sex, swimming, surfing, biking)



Average pound if fat contains.4000 caloroes relitivly. So evry week you need to have deficet of that times two.for your goal. If you are 190 lbs start on February and would like to be 173lbs by April , you would specify that you want to lose
17lbs. The less your weigh the fewer calories you will need to take in for weight loss to continue.
As a rule of thumb you should not ho below 1200 calories a day.

Get a workout buddy or support buddy. Find someone with similar goals and to support and keep you on track with your fitness goals. I have a friend I talk to daily on messenger and she helps me stay motivated and achieve my fitness goals.

Set a goal for yourself. Whether it be to lose 10 lbs or fit into those size 4 jeans, set a time frame and then when you reach that goal, reward yourself with some new clothes or your favorite free meal.

Take pictures. Take a picture of yourself in swim suit or shorts and after a couple weeks of workouts, take another picture and compare. It's a great motivational tool when you see the results!

Cut out a motivational picture. Look in magazines or online and choose a body type that you would like to have. Hang it on your fridge and look at it every day. Envision yourself looking like that picture. When you are on the treadmill and getting tired, think of that picture and push yourself to work even harder to reach that goal.

Plan your workouts. When you make a plan to go running or lift some weights, you are more likely to actually DO them, so sit down and plan when and what workouts you want to do for a whole week.

Drink plenty of water. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.
