Have you tackled weight loss through therapy? (compulsive eaters) Have you lost !

Question: Have you tackled weight loss through therapy? (compulsive eaters) Have you lost weight and kept it off?
I am 21 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and I weigh 290 pounds. This is the heaviest I have ever been. I do not feel comfortable in my own skin. I feel like I am carrying around an armor of fat, isolating me from the outside world. I have no idea where my confidence has gone, I have less energy, everything is a mess.

I have been struggling with my weight since I can remember. When I was 15 years old I weighed 270 pounds. My mother took me to a nutritionist. I lost 90 pounds that year. As soon as I reached my goal weight of 180 pounds I gained most of the weight back. Then, when I was 18 I weighed 260 pounds and began working out and dieting on my own. I lost 40 pounds in 3 months and stayed at 220 pounds for a year. Then my ex boyfriend and I broke up. That was a little over a year ago. I became depressed and used food to cope with my emotions. I have gained 70 pounds since then.

I am young, I feel I am pretty. However, my weight is really interfering with how I feel about myself. It's constantly on my mind, and I know everyone can see how fat I am. I can't believe I have gained all this weight. I used to be a sexy girl. I used to go on dates all the time, and not that long ago too. I am too young to feel this way.

I want to change this and lose this weight and keep it off. They say insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. I must be insane then. I think I need to tackle the problem at it's core, especially if I want to keep this weight off. I see a therapist right now, for depression. I have mentioned how I feel about my relationship with food but have never gone in to detail about it. I haven't seen my therapist in over a month because I am in college and work part time, my schedule is kind of hectic. I am seeing her Monday morning. How do I approach this? Has anyone ever confronted weight lose through therapy?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Loosing weight fast is always an unhealthy thing.
The best thing to loose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.
There are many diets who tell you that you can loose a lot of weight in no time. And it is working, but you are doing no good to your body. And there's also the Jojo-effect.
Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That's an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn't that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?
Good Luck and Take care :-)

I can relate to the spiraling feeling you seem to be experiencing right now as I have experienced almost all of what you've listed. Feeling down and depressed does not have to mean insanity. A simple change in your emotions, your attitude and small steps in your routine can put you on the right track, once again. You've done it before, therefore you're certainly capable. Believe that you can do it all again and I can tell you for certain you will.

I have not tackled weight loss through therapy, but I have recently been loosing weight listening to subliminal mp3 audio tapes. I can tell you without a doubt, it works. I've been listing to many different tapes to help with several aspects of my life and in every case, I am getting fantastic results. I have to add, I think I'm getting addicted to positive, powerful results. Your mind and what you feed it is very important.

So seriously, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and access some free audio mp3 you can get from the link I give you below. Go and buy a couple more about weight loss and I assure you, it'll work wonders. You can and you will pull yourself out of this, whats more you can do it all yourself!

Very best wishes!
