I always find the best way for me to lose weight is just to start walking a lot more. Just add 30 mins to an hour of walking a few times a week and you will see it fall off pretty fast. I see my unwanted weight gain go fast and since you are male yours will go much faster. It is a great way to loose the weight but not add muscle. And spot reduction is a myth. Your body will tell what fat is going first. So it takes time and patience. So just have a well balanced diet it,or do what I do; and just eat the foods you like;but in smaller portions. And take at least 3 days of the week to do 30 minutes of cardio.
