Could I be getting anorexia?!


Question: Could I be getting anorexia?
I'm a girl who used to be quite fat, borderline obese my mum used to say. While I was fat I was always miserable, I would look at skinny girls in nice clothes and wish I was like them. I didn't try to make new friends because I was worried that people wouldn't want me as a friend. I didn't shop for new clothes because I thought I looked ugly in everything and I never tried to look nice.

Last year I lost all of the weight I had gained as a kid by going on a very extreme diet and exercising. It took me less than a year to lose all that weight and everyone's telling me I shouldn't lose more. The problem is that it seems like I can't go back to eating like a normal person. Two proper meals a day is a lot for me. If I eat a little more food than my usual portion, I feel sick. Once I ate until I was actually full and starved myself the next day, fearing that the one day of indulgence would make me fat again. How can I put a stop to this? I'm still really young and I'd hate for this to happen now, at a time when I've got so much going for me in life.

You should realize one day of indulgence wont make you fat over night, with that being said like 2 weeks of indulgence will. People don't get fat over night, but they also don't get skinny over night. Chances are your mom somewhat triggered a lower self asteem when you were overweight, and you were just unhappy because you were trying to please her or what you see around you.
Eating twice a day isn't a bad thing all the time, i can't eat three times a day either it is just too much food for me, however if your hungry and you don't eat that's a eating disorder and i would suggest you get some help. However if you eat only twice a day and all your eating is like 500 calories then that's probably anorexia since your not getting enough calories for the day. Also all healthy diets have a cheat day once a week where they allow themselves to eat somewhat sugary foods for one day, it helps speed up your metablolism.



You can lose weight if you tried correct method. I tried many method, but could not lose weight. I found the best method that works just amazing for anyone. Talk to a doctor.
Get your percent body fat tested.
Girls need more body fast than boys to maintain healthy hormone levels.
If your body fat is healthy then I think you're okay.

Maybe you can talk to your parents to help you feel better by seeing a therapist or someone to help you through this. Hang in there! But I do know that one day, we'll over come all this and feel better about ourselves. Anorexia is a mental disorder. Most people with anorexia think that they're still fat even after they've lost the weight. You seem to be happy with your size and don't think that you're still over weight. Your stomach is used to smaller portions and it may take a while for it to get stretched out to hold more food. Just eat what you want without over indulging. You will be fine & eventually you will be able to eat more (& it still won't be too much).
