I know your body goes into starvation mode, but will you eventually lose the wei!

Question: I know your body goes into starvation mode, but will you eventually lose the weight?
if you eat less then 1000 calories (lets say without excersise), at first your body will go into starvation mode, but don't you lose the weight eventually? (i'm not trying this) but i was just wondering because anorexics seem to lose the weight in weeks or just a month or two!

Answers:

you loose the weight but it makes you sick and weak...

Yes you lose weight and as you said, that's why anorexics are like that. But your metabolism gets used to eating too little and it slows down. Nobody can live by eating only an apple or just water for all his life, so someday you will die or you will be forced to eat more. By eating more you start gaining weight and at the end you get like you was or bigger, with more health problems or you just die.

Sure, it's called starvation. That is what Anorexics do to themselves. They starve their bodies so badly that their bodies are forced to burn any available energy (which means muscle/fat). It's also why someone who is overweight would be more likely to survive a long period of starvation than a person who is normal weight or underweight.

It does take 30 days for your body to go in to starvation mode. And why 1000 calories only? just calculate your RMR online. And exercise 500 calories of that. Oh and if you're comparing yourself with mentally ill people then you should REALLY grow self confidence. And it would make you loose weight, but when you're done dieting, you would gain everything back :)

yeah but you could die
