I can't stop eating junk food all the time! What is wrong with me that I ha!

Question: I can't stop eating junk food all the time! What is wrong with me that I have no willpower? How to stop?
2 years ago I had a nice body and was fit. I felt so confident and had so much energy. After getting pregnant I gained a lot of weight and didnt lose much of it after I gave birth. Now over a year later, its all still hanging out. And its not a mystery to me why it is still there, I eat a lot when the kids are napping and i eat a lot when they go to bed at night. I do not have any willpower to quit. I enjoy eating and i use it as a part of "me time" and i get so full i feel disgusting. What do i do? I dont watn to be like this forever. I have no power over myself it feels like.

Answers:

You have three choices:
1. Ban all unhealthy foods in the house. This is an unpopular one because it means that no one you live with can have junk food either. This will only last a week or two and someone else will have to do your shopping ^^ But after that time your body will get used to lowered intakes of fat and sugars and you should stop craving, although it is still a good idea to let your better half to shop for another week or so still.
2. Bring yourself off slowly, make a physical chart of some kind, the realism of this object will help you keep to a regime. A regime of slowly decreasing calories a day, until after a month or so you are at a normal level.
3. Continue to overeat but support this with a large amount of exercise. You can continue to eat, which releases endorphins and dopamine and all kinds of lovely chemicals but also get a boost of them from running or yoga or tennis or whatever you want to do. It may even be these "Happiness Chemicals" that cause you to eat. When you start to lose noticeable amounts of body fat then you will psychologically also will yourself to eat less junk, just to get the feeling of achievement when you step on the scales and see them go another bar lower :)
Or you could eat and get fat, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it doesn't seem like you want to do that. Try one of these out and if it doesn't work, go onto the next one.
Hope I was helpful ^^

my answer is what you need.
stop thinking of food as fun. think of it as something you need to survive. eat when youre hungry - NEVER FOR A CRAVING OR FUN. eat when your stomach rumbles and never else.

i put on 10lbs in 2 weeks - yep, im addicted to food but im sorting it.

Punch yourself everytime u think of food

just wall away for those stores

Just don't keep junk food in the house. When you get cravings, try Skinny Cow ice cream instead (but just one a day, or it defeats the purpose lol). They have really good ice cream bars, sandwiches, cones, and cups of ice cream that are around 100-150 calories each and low fat. :) http://www.skinnycow.com/myproducts/inde… There's a list of the products, and it has nutritional information too. :) I just discovered them a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely in love with them lol. I have a mega sweet tooth too, and these normally satisfy it. :P Good luck!

I used to be the same. The way I done it was to bet £5 with my friend a few months ago who could last the longest without eating chocolate. It wasn't about the money, more about who had the strongest willpower. He caved in two weeks ago and I still haven't ate any, nor do I want any. I also do do plenty of exercise and joined a gym. When your working out and see the results it makes it all worth while. I even have a six pack now, something I could never have achieved without first stopping eating crappy food. Trust me, it is possible. Good luck
