If I run on the treadmill for 1 hour everyday, roughly how much weight will I lo!

Question: If I run on the treadmill for 1 hour everyday, roughly how much weight will I lose a week?
I am also controlling what I eat ie no junkfood, healthy breakfasts, salads etc.

I run on the treadmill at home for 1 hour everyday, i know it isnt long but I have a very busy schedule. How many pounds will I lose in a week if I keep this up? (I do 7500 steps on the treadmill btw)

Thank you for answering! x

Answers:

Depends on how hard you run, what you eat, and how much you weigh. You have to burn off 3500 calories to lose a pound. It might be easier to do it that way if you have a calorie counter on the treadmill. Most people burn off between 500 and 800 calories an hour running but if your heart rate is up for that long it will continue to burn off more calories when you stop. Find out what your max heart rate is and try to keep yourself at 70% of your max. As you get in shape you will have to work harder to keep your heart rate there. You can find it easily on the internet. Good luck on the weight loss, an hour a day on a treadmill is a great start!

It depends on your sex, body mass, age, and the intensity of your workout. But, an adult can expect to burn between 120-150 calories per mile. And, to lose a pound, you would need to burn 3500 excess calories. Cardiovascular exercise speeds up your total metabolism as well, so after a workout, your body will burn fat faster. The effect lasts about 48 hours before your metabolism will return to normal. Its a gradual slow-down.

that is actually a really long time! make sure you can run 30 minutes easily before you go for a whole hour.. :)

and, i would say around 5-10 pounds depending on if you slip up on your "diet"

good luck!

i have a treadmill too! :)

Its really hard to say, there's no set amount. It depends on alot of things and you can do the same amount of exercise for extended periods and have different results each time.

It depend on your caloric-intake.
