Question: How many days a week should a 16 year old male excersise?
Currently I do 6 times a week, cardio in the morning and weights at night. Is this too much?

Answers:

You're good man, what's important is the nature of your exercise. You don't want to be doing super heavy weight (weight you can only lift/push 5-6 times or less). It can cause stress and injury in your joints which is bad since you're still growing.

If you are trying to gain muscle you'll need to eat alot. Bodybuilding.com and other websites are good places to start.

Stay away from pro-hormones and steroids. Especially if you got a gf cuz they can kill your sex drive!

You might know guys who use roids but trust me they're not necessary. Some of the most ripped guys I've seen came out of prison eating regular food.

22 year old Weightlifter for 5 years



For a male your age, it is recommended that you get at least 1 hour of moderate to vigorous exercise every day. Just be careful not to overdo it on the weight lifting. The cardio is perfect.



That is fine, just be sure that you are exercising one set of muscle groups one day and another the next, alternating days.



7 hours a week of vigorous exercise.
