Can I lose weight on a vegan diet?!
Question: Can I lose weight on a vegan diet?
before: whole grain cereal w/milk for breakfast, ocassional fruit
now: whole grain cereal or oatmeal with fruit and almond milk for breakfast
before: leftovers for lunch or microwaved meats and pastas
now: steamed vegetables w/butter and salt and some brown rice
before: one meat, one canned veggie,
one starch, and one bread
now: beans or pasta, steamed veggies, whole grain bread roll or corn tortilla, some cheese if needed
before: three sugary snacks
now: yogurt, fruit, or chocolate soymilk
Should I expect to lose weight making these changes? I know you can't give me a definite yes or no, but I would like to know if I have a good chance or not?

There are many vegan eaters who are as chubby as those who aren't.
If the amount of Calories is less than what you have been eating before, then yes! Any diet that requires you eat a set amount of Calories based on your Age, height, and weight, Can and will result in Lose of weight. Not to mention your cholesterol and fat intake will also diminish as a Mostly vegan diet contains a lower amount of these nutrients.
Also you might try to avoid Dairy products such as Cheese, Yogurt, and Milk, among others. These processed Animal fats are not part of a vegan diet.
