Question: I'm on a green tea diet. Is it better to drink the tea before or after a meal?

all of the above.... drinking before helps u digest the calories..
drinking after helps u burn fat more..

do both.. and infact drink black tea as well



Not sure which "green tea diet" you are on.
There has been some exaggeration about the benefits of green tea.
Rather some slick salesman have come up with an angle to sell green tea diet pills or a green tea diet plan.
Green tea is high in antioxidants.
A diet high in antioxidant foods can elevate your metabolism.
A high metabolism burns more calories.
A diet burning more calories can burn excess body fat.
So green tea = weight loss!
Just drinking lots of green tea will not cause you to lose weight.
A healthy diet including green tea and exercise will work every time.

In Japan, we usually drink our green tea with our meals. We drink 3-4 cups a day with meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Before, because if you are trying to lose weight, something in your stomach beforehand will stop you from overeating, as well as green tea boosts metabolism.

And yes, a variety of teas is good, particularly Chinese Oolong tea.
