Are donuts okay to eat in moderation?!

Question: Are donuts okay to eat in moderation?
I know they're chuck full of carbs, but would it hurt to eat one every once in a while? As long as it fits into the calorie limit?

Once in a great while............ how about some strawberries a nice banana pureed apples???? you receive less sugar and a fantastic dose of healthy nourishment. Good luck my dear

I like cookies, cakes etc. I tried to avoid them the most i can. Everyday i have at least one banana , and I squeeze 2 oranges in this way i satisfy my desire of sweets.

Anything in moderation is okay. Just know that carbs and sugars in excess are bad for you, and eating in excess of your recommended coloric intake based on your gender, age, and activity will cause mass gain. The body does require carbohydrates and sugar, but its when we eat too much of them, without suffienct exercise and activity that mass is gained. My rule is eat what you want. Otherwise, you try to eat other things to offset the craving, end up caving to the craving, and eat that too. You just ate a bunch more than the original thing you wanted to eat. Once again, moderation is key :) good luck!

No it doesn't hurt to eat anything once in a while. And it's better to eat one than to crave it and eat all kinds of other things to try to get rid of the craving.

If you check the Dunkin Donut's site, they list the nutrition information for all their donuts so you can avoid the worst ones.

Remember, they're also full of fat. Try to limit them to once a week at most and make sure to do some exercise to burn off the extra calories.

Anything is OK in moderation, unless you are a diabetic or allergic to the food you eat. What's cool about getting your carbs in the morning (donut shops are usually open in the AM), you have all day to burn it off. You can take away some calories from something else you might eat in your day.

One as a treat occasionally would be ok.

If you want them more often than 1 a month, then maybe you could try donut holes, you could probably push to have one a week of these.

Some people have a strange interpretation of "moderation" and think this means daily for things that should realy be once every few months.

Of course, according to my dietitian (I'm currently on a diet) she said that everything is okay in moderation. If you limit yourself on different foods you are more likely to stray. If you can, eat a donut with very little toppings. One donut will not hurt you.

Any foods can be eaten in moderation. One or two doughnuts every now and then is okay - it is when a person eats a dozen in one sitting that problems begin. The same holds true for all foods. Moderation is the key word, along with an active life (not being a couch potato).

Yes it is okay. If you stick to hardcore to a diet and don't enjoy the little things you will turn into one of those freaky California health nuts that freak out if the milk in their Starbucks coffee isn't soy.

have one on your cheat day if you have one . a cheat day is where you have what ever you want on one day during the week. remember to always eat healthy and be active

Donuts are very high in sugar find something else to crave your sweet tooth.

of course! anything is okay in moderation!

Once in a blue moon... I normally go 3+ months w/o a donut
