Are young men supposed to feel fat even when people say I'm skinny?!

Question: Are young men supposed to feel fat even when people say I'm skinny?
I weigh 148 I'm around 5'8" and a 20 year old male.
I feel like a fat slob. I lost 30 pounds since last fall but these last few pounds of belly fat are really stubborn and make me look so sloppy.
I'd do anything to get of it ANYTHING
Doing crunches doesn't burn fat I heard so there's no point in building muscle if that nasty fat is still there.

Idk what to do I'm already eating 1250 calories a day.

Answers:

The point of building muscle is to raise your metabolism.

Becoming trim and fit is a 2 phase cycle.

Fat loss
Muscle building

You have removed a significant amount of fat, so congratulations.
The muscle building phase will help increase your metabolism (lean weight is more metabolically active)).

So increase your caloric intake (eat clean though), reduce your cardio and strength train 5-6 days a week. Continue this for about 8 weeks.

At this point, go through another cycle of fat loss. Decrease your caloric intake, continue to strength train (moderately) and significantly increase your aerobic activity.

Sometimes obtaining a perfect body can seem like 2 steps forward, one step back, but the ONLY way to fail, is to stop.

Nice, a bulimic man... never seen that before.

Go eat a full meal for ***** sake.
And while you're eating real food, hit a treadmill.

You aren't fat and you probably aren't a slob. It's unbelievable how sheltered and weak people are these days.

From what I hear, people can not choose where the fat comes off. Excercise and lower your whole entire body fat % and it will go away.

you are not eating enough and probably not working out hard enough.

to lose that last bit of fat around your mid section requires a good amount of muscle tissue, which can only be maintained by eating enough protein daily AND exercising enough to stimulate your central nervous system into thinking it needs the muscle MORE than the fat you have.

it's not at all easy to do, otherwise we would all have rippling six packs, so don;t be so hard on yourself okay..

things that will make your goal achievable are educating yourself towards how to get a six pack the right way, through careful dietary planning and a making a good enough routine to do at least twice a week to help maintain what muscle mass you have.

read up on cutting diets and macro nutrient breakdowns (which is when a person splits their food groups into percentages, ie 40/40/20 carbs/proteins/fats).

@1250 cals a day you are no doubt losing weight but what amount will be from fat/water/muscle only you can really tell. I really wouldn't bother weighting yourself but rather take measurements from your neck, chest, arms, hips+waist*, thighs and calves, once per week upon waking. over a period of a few weeks you will see trends, ie measurements either droping or staying the same. you really should pay close attention to your hip and waist* measurements more than any other measurement as that is where most of your fat will accumulate. if those two measurements continue to drop steadily and you other measurements either drop ever so slightly or stay the same you could well be on the right track. (which is why it's not best to weigh yourself, just go with how you look in the mirror in direct sunlight, if a six pack is what you are aiming for.)

so look into you diet first, and see what changes you can make and then start taking measurements. and read up on cutting diets and how to set yourself reachable goals.

don;t worry if you don't get what you want the first time, people rarely do, unless they have a top notch personal trainer and iron will power!

good luck!

It appears you probably just do alot of cardio and very little if any resistance training. Losing wieght fast is not a healthy way to lose wieght. Know if you want to lose fat and keep it off you must increase lean muscle mass. But to answer your question. You can lose wieght fast but it will most likely be water weight and come right back. I can tell you how if you interested. Hit me up on my youtube account
