Very. And cheap too: porridge, easy to make, cheap, extremely good for you. Flapjacks: easy to make, cheap, delicious, and despite the syrup butter and sugar, still quite good for you - or at least not nearly as bad for you as most biscuits or cakes because of the oats. Here's a recipe:

6oz hard butter
4oz demerara sugar
2 tablespoons golden syrup
8 oz oats

Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan.
Add the oats and mix well.
Place in a greased square baking tin and bake
at Gas Mark 4 (180 degrees c) for approximately
15 minutes until golden brown

Enjoy!

Steel cut oat's and rolled oat's are a great breakfast ideal!
Try with fresh/ frozen/ dried fruit, added mixed peanut butter or nut's/ seed's, milk and flavouring's such as coconut/ honey/ cinnamain/ brown sugar/ sweetener/ nutmeg/ fruit preserve/ grated dark caoca/ etc.
