Can drinking water cause kidney pain?!

Question: Can drinking water cause kidney pain?
1) I had surgery for Hydronephrosis of my right kidney when I was 4. (No issues since)
2) I am a hardcore Sweet Tea/Mountain Dew drinker. (Usually have one of the two in my hand at all times)
3) I decided to drink only water for a week with my husband (Decided to keep going and have been water only for 10 days)
4) Every time I pee, my right kidney hurts, and then it goes away.

I was thinking this could either be a symptom of caffeine withdrawal, or maybe I'm drinking too much water? Any ideas?

no, you could have kidney stones since mountain dew and sweet tea are some of the leading causes of kidney stones and are very bad for your kidney.

if your drinking water out of the faucet there could be minerals in the water that can cause kidney stones. your best bet is to drink bottled water with the flavoring that you can buy from the store to put in it because it has a acid in there that can help with kidney stones and prevent them if you don't already have them.

kidney stones run in my family and my dad used to always get them and the doctor told him that tea in gerneral and mountain dew are terrible for you kidneys.
