I recently lost 30 lbs within 2 months. It was a bit hard in the beginning, but once I got used to the meal plan it became quite easy.

My meal plan was:

-Breakfast- bowl of oatmeal or Special K, and a glass of water with freshly squeezed lemon (no sugar)
-snack- 1 fruit (apple, banana, etc.) or yogurt.

-Lunch- salad or tuna fish with light mayo on whole grain toasted bread, with a glass of water.
-snack- fruit or a bar

-Dinner- Grilled Chicken with broccoli and brown rice or a Chicken Ceasar salad, or Tilapia fillet with vegetables.

*before bed I drank a cup of water with freshly squeezed lemon, and a cup of dieters tea.

I did 20 min of cardio a day, and 20 min of strength training a day.

As long as you follow a good meal plan, you will be losing weight.

Hey,
Yeah crash diets never work for long term- and I am living proof : I lost about 1.5 stone/10kg in 2 months but put everything back in one month.

You have to be really really motivated as I was...otherwise you are going to fail :/

A little thing that's worked for me is having one detox day a week ( means having only vegetables all day) that day allows you to balance out a few naughty treats you had through the week

Ermmm, also when sitting down you can do bum clinches ( just contract and relax your buttocks...yeah sounds silly but its good ) ;)

drink low calorie hot choc/coffee/coke to fool your brain your full :D

hope that helped :)

Try to avoid eating fried foods and drinking tea and soda. Also if you're just starting to try and get in shape or lose weight. Then here is a good way to start off.
1. First you want to stretch so you don't pull anything.
2. I don't know what kind of shape you are in but you could try jogging a quarter mile, walk that same distance, and do it again. Do that as many times as you think you can. (one lap around a high school track is a quarter mile).
It is good to workout after jogging or running because your heart rate is faster and you can burn more fat. so after you run try this circuit routine (all without weights):
15 parallel squats
20 crunches
10 pushups
15 jumping jacks or 20 reps with a jump rope

after you do this once take a breather if you need it. and do it again, and again as many times as you need changing the reps for each workout to fit what your good at.

My brain

if you just eat one little protein bar and dinner, and have a busy/active life then your body is probably not meeting its nutritional needs. watch how many calories you eat for a few days (do NOT cut any yet)
you should be consuming atleast 1,200. preferably 1,400. if you are eating under this then your body is probably in starvation mode. if you consider jogging you will want to eat atleast 1,500 cals a day.

Avoid at all costs foods containing high amounts of fat, sugar and salt. This means stay away from fast food such as cheeseburgers, fries and shakes, and all types of junk food, such as donuts, cakes, cookies, snack bars, potato chips, soft drinks, pretzels, and high calorie candy including chocolates.

don't do the vinegar and water, its disgusting. you should start jogging before or after school if you have time.

Hey there :)
Forget all the silly myths, special diets and scams, just get out there!
I find running either at night or really early in the morning a great way to losing weight. I weighed nearly 14 stone, now I'm down to 11 :)
DON'T go on a crash diet though! Don't just starve yourself, 'cause that will give you more problems than solutions.
I saw you didn't mention breakfast; that's one of my downfalls. I never have time for breakfast but I eat it when I can. You must make sure you have breakfast!
Eat healthily, not too much, not too little, drink as much water as you can and go out for an easy 30 minute jog at night :) That's what I did/do and I saw results.
It's really about commitment more than anything else; that's the hard part. That's what I struggled with in the beginning. I used to down a 2 litre bottle of fizzy stuff every day!
There isn't a special diet or secret, it's as simple as, like I said before, eating healthily and doing a moderate amount of exercise. Once you've nailed that I guarantee you'll be on your way to your desired weight.
Don't listen to the people telling you to do muscle building exercises. Work on lowering your overall body weight by running/cycling/walking/swimming etc before tackling specific muscle groups. Toning muscles underneath fat is a waste of time. Focus on losing the weight that's covering those muscles THEN and only then tone them. Contrary to popular belief, you can NOT lose weight in specific areas. And just on a 'myths' note, muscle does NOT turn into fat.
Anyway, good luck! Wish you all the best! :D

I'm in the process of losing, and I know how you feel. While I may not be wanting to lose as much as you, I have also gotten tired of being overweight and not liking how I look.

First off, limiting yourself to one protein bar and then dinner is completely defeating!! By doing that, you're putting your body into starvation mode--and not the burning calories kind of way. The less you eat, the more your body thinks it's starving and then will convert most of your calories straight to fat storage. Basically, your body thinks it's dying from lack of nutrition.

Here's what I'm doing. My Fitness Pal is a free online calorie counter with a HUGE database of just about any food or restaurant you can think of. You just enter your weight loss goals, how much you'd like to lose per week (maximum of 2 pounds) and it will give you an idea of a good calorie count per day. Counting calories sucks, but this little tool takes so much guess work out and you can just do it at the end of a busy day!

So, in coupling with My Fitness Pal, I am also doing a program called cardio kickboxing. It's great for relieving stress (a big fat producer) and burns between 600-800 calories a session. By the end of the day, my diet and exercise rounds out to me only "eating" 500 calories a day. But! Since I'm actually eating about 1200, my body is processing at a healthy rate. I'm already seeing little results here and there, and the more calories you burn the faster you'll see the fat fall off!

A few extra tips: foods high in protein keep you fuller longer. So if you're looking to cut out snacking and just eat 3 solid meals a day, try things like eggs for breakfast (even bacon!) and lean chicken for dinner. If you can swing it, Healthy Choices Cafe Steamers meals are fantastic for lunch! Quick, easy, you just need a microwave :) Berries are high in antioxidants to give you the energy you need for exercise, regardless of what you do. Emergen-C packs also work and they keep viruses at bay (I like Raspberry). And if you're using fresh fruit for desserts instead of sweets like cookies and ice cream, you can even add a little lite whipped topping for an extra treat while still avoiding tons of fat-producing sugars! Hope this helps and good luck!
