toning and rib question?!


Question: Toning and rib question?
helloooo~
i've been focusing on my body more lately.. i'm 5'2 and 104lb.
but when i look at myself in the mirror from like a 3/4th view, my ribs dont really.. flow with my tummy. i've been wanting to tone up anyways but was wondering if there was anything.. that would make it more smooth? idk it's like my ribs just stick out and then i have a really deep and narrow waist.

do i just tone and hope it all fits together or is there some special muscle i must work? ): i'm not really sure what i'm even asking, like, how do i get a nice proportionate, toned body that doesnt make me look like im skin and bones?

Well, it sounds like you're being overly critical of your body. But anyway, if you are thin but not especially toned (which is what I think I picked up) doing abdominal exercises may build ab muscles that may give you that "flow" between your ribs and tummy that you're looking for. It just crossed my mind that maybe what you're seeing is evidence that you're too thin! IDK

Cardio is always good for general health. If you're looking to gain tone and add healthy weight, weight training will help you there, not just ab work, but weight work that hits all the major muscles. Good luck!
