Question: I am 5.5 feet and 85 pounds want to gain weight but no appetite?
If I m 15 years old, 5.5 feet tall and 85 pounds, am I underweight?
How do I gain weight in a heathful way?

I have a very poor appetite and get full fast. I was depressed most of the time and am getting better but my appetite will not come back! Being skinny bothers my because I get achy and I can see my ribs and sometimes my period messes up =( I really want to gain weight but when I do I lose it! This really is not good for my health! What do I do?!

Answers:

When I went to college, I was forced to get a meal plan. But it was buffet style so you can eat as little as you want or as much as you want. I would get completely full just eating a hamburger for dinner. But I realized I was wasting money because I was eating so little. So day by day, I forced myself to eat more and more. If I finish a hamburger and feel full, I would push myself into eating a salad. Then later I would add a dessert to my meal. Then I would add 2 entrees instead of just 1. So maybe I have spaghetti, then go back for half sandwich, then finish it up with a salad and dessert. Eventually I didn't have to force myself; it became natural. Of course, you shouldn't eat so much that you become a cow. But I know from my experience, you can increase your appetite but u need to put in the effort. It took me about two months.

Also if you do more physical activities, that will increase your appetite. I would take the staircase instead of the elevator for example. Maybe you can swim, jog, or dance.



Truthfully your best bet is smoking pot. That's the main reason cancer patients smoke it, when they go through chemo they lose their appetite and smoking pot helps them.



SERIOUSLY SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE! therapy (if u r not currently going) and a dietrician.


for foods: protein is good.



exercise, eat breakfast in the morning and small meals constantly throughout the day.



Eat foods with lots of calories or carbohydrits

Drink protein drinks and talk to your doctor. because for your height you should weight at least 110lbs
